Therapy for Women Who Feel Stuck in Anxiety, Overthinking, and People-Pleasing

At Unscripted Therapy Co., we specialize in supporting self-critical, driven women to understand and heal the root of their anxiety and perfectionism. Our work helps you move away from overthinking and performance-based worth, and into a life where you can trust yourself, feel your feelings, and live with more ease—in motherhood, relationships, and beyond.

Let go of who you were told to be. Become who you actually are.

Anxiety therapy might be for you if…

  • You look put together, but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or numb underneath it

  • You're exhausted from doing everything “right” and still not feeling enough

  • You overthink everything and struggle to trust your gut

  • You feel guilty resting but know you can’t keep pushing like this

  • You’ve lost sight of who you are beyond the roles you carry

  • You’re ready to break cycles—but don’t know where to start

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

If you recognize yourself in even one of these, therapy can help you find your way back to calm, clarity, and self-trust. Reach out today to get started with therapy that meets you where you are—and walks with you toward who you’re becoming.

Therapy doesn’t just help you feel better—it helps you live differently.

Here’s what that can actually look like:

You stop second-guessing every damn decision and start trusting your gut again. You feel more anchored in your voice—even when others have big feelings about your boundaries.

Your mind quiets. You're no longer spiraling about everything from texts to timelines. You have tools to regulate your nervous system instead of pushing through until burnout.

You’re not afraid of the in-between. Even when life feels uncertain, you know how to ground yourself without chasing productivity or clarity just to feel safe.

You’re no longer managing symptoms—you’re shifting the system. People-pleasing, perfectionism, emotional overload? They don’t rule your life anymore. You’ve done the deeper work to understand where they come from, and you’ve built something better.

You stop performing and actually start feeling ease. Less pressure. Less over-functioning. More presence.

As a mental health therapist I blend evidence-based tools with a deep understanding of nervous system states and emotional healing. I don’t just help you “cope”—I help you re-calibrate.

Whether you're navigating motherhood, burnout, or big life transitions, we work with the full picture—not just the symptoms. I blend science and intuition, pulling from modalities like:

  • Somatic and nervous system-based therapy

  • Inner child and parts work (Internal Family Systems)

  • Elements of nutrition and occupational therapy frameworks

I see clients via private pay, Blue Care Network, and Blue Cross Blue Shield in Southfield and throughout Michigan, offering a customized and flexible approach to fit your real life.

How I Work

This is a space where we might laugh, cry, and drop a few F bombs together. No need to have it all figured out—I’ll help you sort through the chaos and find the common thread.

We don’t just talk about change. We create it from the inside out.

Sessions might look like:

  • Working with your inner child or protective parts

  • Learning to recognize survival patterns in real time

  • Getting out of your head and into your body

  • Practicing communication rooted in emotional safety

  • Learning how your brain and nervous system work—so you can stop blaming yourself and start working with your biology

  • Reclaiming your identity—one small, radical choice at a time

What Anxiety Therapy With Me Feels Like

FAQs

  • I offer in-person appointment at my office in Southfield and online therapy across Michigan, which means I can meet you wherever you are—literally and emotionally.

Serving clients in: Detroit, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Traverse City—and everywhere in between.

  • $160 for a 55 minute session

I am also in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, and can provide a superbill for out-of-network clients to assist with reimbursement.

  • My approach to therapy is deeply holistic, recognizing the intricate connection between mind, body, and spirit. I'm just as interested in your thoughts and emotions as I am in your sleep patterns, eating habits, daily routines, and how your body holds stress. I believe that true well-being arises from understanding and integrating all aspects of ourselves, the messy, the uncomfortable, and the F-bombs, too. I'm not your typical "vanilla" therapist – I won't just smile and nod. I'll be a real human with you.

I integrate parts work and a somatic perspective, drawing from approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic experiencing, polyvagal theory, and attachment theory. Think of me as a translator, helping you decipher the complex language of your inner world, whether it speaks in textbook terms or in the whispers of your intuition. Together, we'll not only process past experiences but also cultivate safety and connection in the present, empowering you to reach your goals. I recognize that mental health challenges are often a response to the interplay of various factors, including the pressures of modern life, the impact of past trauma, and systemic inequities.

Ultimately, I'm committed to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space – a space where you can be your damn self and reconnect with your innate capacity for growth and change. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you and witness your resilience and strength.

  • Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, but many of my clients start to notice meaningful shifts within 3–6 months. Most of the women I work with are already functioning well on the surface—but they’re ready to go deeper, break old patterns, and feel more grounded, confident, and connected. After that initial progress, many choose to continue weekly or bi-weekly sessions to maintain momentum and create a new baseline—not just to feel “okay,” but to feel truly aligned and alive.

That said, this is always an ongoing conversation. We'll regularly check in about what’s working, what you need, and what you want out of therapy—so it stays supportive and aligned with your goals.

  • I recommend weekly sessions for all new clients, even if it’s just for the first month or two. Meeting weekly helps us build a strong therapeutic relationship and gives our work the depth and momentum it needs to create meaningful change.

Once a solid foundation is in place—or you've made some progress—you may decide to shift to bi-weekly sessions. Some clients eventually move to monthly or as-needed check-ins when things are feeling more stable.

Just a note: my recurring time slots are reserved for weekly and bi-weekly clients, so if you’re wanting that consistency, I encourage you to prioritize those early on.
